Visually, I see it as bright, cinematic and spectacular: terminals glowing at dusk, aircraft crossing vast runways, glass architecture, control towers, intimate departure moments and an astonishing Antarctic landing strip.

It has scale, glamour, humanity—and tremendous appeal to travellers, airlines, tourism boards and airport authorities.
