BREAKING: AIR INDIA PHUKET–DELHI FLIGHT DROPS 300 FEET MID-AIR
An Air India flight travelling from Phuket to Delhi encountered severe turbulence during its journey on Tuesday, causing the aircraft to lose approximately 300 feet in altitude.
Flight AI2379 subsequently landed safely at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at approximately 11:07 a.m. All passengers and crew members were able to disembark.
According to the latest airline update reported by Indian media, 13 passengers and four cabin crew members sustained injuries and were taken to hospitals for medical evaluation. Several passengers were later discharged, while others remained under medical care.
Air India described the incident as a brief turbulence-related event that caused a momentary change in altitude. The airline said it was supporting those affected and cooperating with the relevant authorities.
