INSIDE GULITA — ISHA AMBANI’S STUNNING HOME IN WORLI, MUMBAI
By Publisher Ray Carmen
Overlooking the Arabian Sea in one of Mumbai’s most prestigious neighbourhoods stands Gulita, the spectacular residence associated with Isha Ambani and her husband, Anand Piramal.
Located on the celebrated Worli seafront, Gulita is reported to extend across approximately 50,000 square feet and rise over five levels, creating a striking contemporary landmark in the heart of India’s financial capital.
The property was once used as a training centre by Hindustan Unilever before the Piramal family acquired it in 2012 for approximately ₹452 crore. It was subsequently redeveloped and presented to Isha and Anand by Anand’s parents, Ajay and Swati Piramal, around the time of the couple’s marriage in December 2018.
Its most distinctive external feature is its dramatic glass façade, often described as diamond-inspired. The building’s sculptural form reflects sunlight during the day while offering expansive views across the Arabian Sea and the Mumbai skyline.
Reports describe the residence as including several basement levels, spacious reception and dining areas, landscaped gardens, a swimming pool and extensive private family accommodation. However, Gulita remains a private home, and many extravagant room-by-room descriptions circulating online have never been independently confirmed.
What can be seen from outside is impressive enough: sweeping curves, shimmering glass and a commanding seafront position that combine contemporary architecture with extraordinary privacy.
Gulita is not merely one of Mumbai’s most valuable residences. It represents a new generation of Indian luxury—modern, internationally influenced and unmistakably connected to the ambition and energy of Mumbai.
For Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, it is also something more meaningful: a magnificent family home overlooking one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
