SPAIN EVACUATES 100 PALESTINIANS INCLUDING 20 CHILDREN FROM GAZA FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT
By Publisher Ray Carmen
Spain has carried out another humanitarian medical evacuation, welcoming 100 Palestinians from Gaza, including 20 children requiring specialist medical care. The group arrived in Spain alongside family members, where the children will receive treatment in hospitals across several regions of the country.
The operation was coordinated by Spanish authorities with the support of international humanitarian partners. According to the Spanish government, the children are suffering from a range of serious medical conditions, including traumatic injuries, heart disease, kidney disorders, eye conditions and other illnesses requiring specialised treatment that has become difficult to provide in Gaza because of the ongoing conflict.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said that no child should have to endure the horrors of war and described providing medical care as a humanitarian responsibility while reaffirming the importance of respecting the dignity and future of those affected by the conflict.
The evacuation is the latest in a series of humanitarian missions organised by Spain since 2024 to provide life-saving medical treatment for vulnerable patients from Gaza. The children will be cared for by specialist medical teams while their accompanying relatives receive temporary support during their stay. (Inclusión y Migraciones)
As the humanitarian situation continues to affect civilians, particularly children, initiatives such as these underline the role that international medical cooperation can play in providing urgent care to those most in need.
