By Publisher Ray Carmen
The global spotlight will once again shine on women’s golf this summer as the prestigious PIF London Championship returns to the renowned Centurion Club in Hertfordshire from August 6–9, 2026.
Now entering its sixth consecutive year at the acclaimed championship venue, the tournament has firmly established itself as one of the premier events on the women’s professional golfing calendar, attracting many of the finest players from around the world.
Organised by Golf Saudi and sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET), the championship will feature a world-class field of 120 elite golfers competing for a share of a $2 million prize purse, alongside valuable Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking points and LET Order of Merit points.
Situated just outside London, Centurion Club has become synonymous with high-level competition and dramatic finishes. The course is widely regarded as one of England’s most demanding layouts, requiring precision, tactical intelligence and nerves of steel from the players who tackle it.
The event forms a key part of the expanding PIF Global Series, which continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the most significant investments in women’s professional sport anywhere in the world.
Golf Saudi says the championship represents much more than a golf tournament. It is part of a long-term strategy designed to elevate women’s golf globally, create new opportunities for players, attract greater commercial investment and inspire future generations to embrace the sport.
Among those expected to compete is English star Charley Hull, one of the biggest names in women’s golf and a player who has witnessed first-hand the rapid growth of the series.
Speaking about the event, Hull said:
“Competing in London always brings special energy, and Centurion Club is a course that challenges every part of your game. It’s been exciting to see the continued growth of the PIF Global Series, from the great venues we compete at to the global platform the events now have. With so many of the world’s top players in the field, winning here takes something truly special and is a big deal.”
The championship will be contested in a pure individual stroke-play format, with the field cut to the leading 60 players and ties after the opening 36 holes. As a result, the weekend stages of the tournament are expected to provide a dramatic showcase of elite-level competition.
Beyond the fairways, organisers are also placing significant emphasis on grassroots development. Golf Saudi will host a range of youth-focused initiatives and interactive development zones throughout the week, helping to introduce more young people to the game and encourage participation from future generations.
The continued support of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) remains central to the growth of the series. Through strategic investment in women’s sport, PIF has helped create a platform that is attracting global attention while contributing to the long-term sustainability of professional women’s golf.
With world-class players, a prestigious venue and growing international recognition, the 2026 PIF London Championship promises to be one of the highlights of the sporting summer.
As women’s golf continues to reach new audiences across the globe, London once again prepares to host some of the sport’s brightest stars in what promises to be another memorable chapter in the remarkable rise of the PIF Global Series.
